OUR JOURNEY

Founded by two dynamic and driven entrepreneurs, Andrew Bishop and Ebrahim Khan, GeT Metal Group (GMG) has rapidly evolved into a prominent player in the South African Industrial Metals industry. Boasting a robust portfolio of unique industrial assets and large-scale heavy industry infrastructure, GMG’s facilities span over 300,000 square meters. Our assets include GeT Alloys (Cape Town & Johannesburg), GeT Steel (Cape Town & Johannesburg), GeT Fuel (Cape Town), Eclipse Foundry (to be rebranded as GeT Castings), Standard Foundry (to be repurposed as a multi-use industrial operation), and Naledi Foundry, all located in Johannesburg.

Andrew Bishop, a skilled operations jockey, specialises in plant erection, reconfiguration, and establishment, as well as commodity trading and supply chain management. His experience in building a regional metals and recycling business across the Western Cape, coupled with his operational expertise, has been instrumental in GMG’s success.

Ebrahim Khan, with a strong background in corporate finance, brings invaluable expertise in capital raising, mergers, and acquisitions. He also played a crucial role in spearheading the deployment of the Hisense Manufacturing plant in Atlantis. His financial acumen, combined with his manufacturing experience, has been pivotal in shaping GMG’s growth and expansion strategy.

Together, Andrew and Ebrahim have successfully combined their complementary skills to establish GMG. In a relatively short time, GMG has built a foundry platform spanning both the Western Cape and Gauteng. With a total melting capacity of 144 metric tons per hour at full operations, GMG is poised to make a significant impact on the industry.

As we continue to grow and innovate, GMG is committed to providing high-quality metal products while maintaining our dedication to sustainability and responsible business practices.
